In 1950, a group of far-sighted toy makers formed a registered cooperative society called Spielwarenmesse eG as the organiser of a trade fair for toys in Nuremberg, Germany bringing together the industry and the retail trade.

351 exhibitors presented their products from 12-18 March 1950 to 4,321 buyers, including 600 from abroad.

Today the cooperative society continues this success story with worldwide events across different sectors. The German toy fair in Nuremberg is now known under its trademarked name Spielwarenmesse® and the company has further expanded its event portfolio to include toy markets in India, Turkey, and Russia and also opened its own subsidiaries in China and Turkey.

The World of Toys by Spielwarenmesse eG programme also provides access to selected trade fairs around the world. Their latest venture is the fair Insights-X which premieres in Nuremberg in October 2015 as the ultimate fair for stationery products.

We, the German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs, serve as your local contact point for all exhibitor and visitor related enquiries.
