The German-Saudi Arabian Office for Economic Affairs is organising a business delegation trip to Riyadh, from October 4th to 8th, in cooperation with SBS systems for business solutions GmbH and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
Market opportunities:
In view of acute water shortages, Saudi Arabia is pushing ahead with the restructuring of its water sector as part of Vision 2030 and the National Water Strategy. The focus is on desalination, wastewater reuse and digital water management.
Due to the increasing demand for drinking water, a growing need for seawater desalination plants is forecast.
Saudi Arabia offers German companies in the water management sector considerable business opportunities. Many projects are implemented through public-private partnerships. This structure opens up opportunities for German companies to get involved as technology providers, engineering partners, consultants or operators, often in cooperation with local or international consortium partners.
General conditions:
This trip is part of the Export Initiative of Environmental Technologies and is being carried out as part of the market exploration programme for SMEs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized German companies.

Before the trip, participants will receive comprehensive market and legal information. A symposium in Riyadh will offer the opportunity to present products and technologies to an expert audience. Individual B2B meetings and company visits will lay the foundation for cooperation, pilot projects and technological partnerships.
