Fact-Finding Mission Hamburg

The German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO), together with the Handelskammer Hamburg and the Hamburg Representative Office Dubai, hosted a Fact-Finding Mission delegation from Hamburg in Riyadh.

The delegation included representatives from Hamburg’s port and maritime sector - as well as companies from the energy sector. Their shared interest: Understanding how Saudi Arabia is advancing its energy transition within the transport and port sectors under Vision 2030.

The program featured an informative market briefing by Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte, joined by the German Ambassador H.E. Michael Kindsgrab, followed by an insightful visit to the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services. 

In the evening, the GESALO Excellence Award Gala offered an excellent opportunity to network with German and Saudi stakeholders across various sectors.

The delegation was also welcomed by the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the key program leading Saudi Arabia’s industrial growth and logistics transformation.

The trip concluded with a visit to the Ministry of Investment where delegates learned more about investment opportunities for cooperation.
