An important part of the Kingdom's Vision2030 is the development of the sports and e-sports sector. Since 2021, more than US$6 billion has been invested in sports-related projects alone, making Saudi Arabia a major venue for international competitions within a very short time.

Since 2024, Saudi Arabia has hosted the E-World Cup, which has become one of the world's largest e-sports events. It is thus further expanding its position as one of the key players in the field on a global level. German companies are supporting the organization of the event and the further ongoing developments in this sector.

Amongst others our Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte and our Market Entry Consultant Darius Giese from got in touch with the German representatives of Phygital International DMCC, who, through their "phygital sports concept", focus on innovating and redefining the future of sports by combining the physical and digital aspects of sports competitions.
