The first International Hydrogen Summit brought together global stakeholders to address the current status and future of the hydrogen economy. Held under the theme “Act together. Think global. Move forward with hydrogen,” the summit served as a strategic platform to confront the downturn in the hydrogen industry and explore actionable solutions.

Europe’s hydrogen sector is facing headwinds due to regulatory uncertainty, slow infrastructure rollout, and financing bottlenecks. Despite these hurdles, the summit emphasized the urgency of scaling up production and distribution to meet climate targets and industrial demand.

Our Delegate, Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte had the pleasure to moderate a panel with high profile experts on long term purchase agreements. Long term purchase agreements are key  to ramp up the hydrogen economy. They create planning security and enable investment in infrastructure and production. The panel discussed regulatory frameworks, finance instruments for the production and scrutinized what lessons emerged from first mover practical experiences.
