The evolving situation around the Strait of Hormuz has sharpened the German industry’s focus on strengthening future supply chains. During the German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) roundtable in Jeddah, companies highlighted Saudi Arabia’s dynamic progress toward becoming a global logistics hub for the region. They also explored the momentum across key infrastructure projects and megaprojects under Saudi Vision 2030, emphasising the new opportunities emerging.
The roundtable was organised by our Head of German Desk Western Province Rawabi Basyouni at the Jeddah Chamber bringing together representatives from MSC, Kuehne+Nagel, DHL Express, Liebherr Group, BELTCON, Dürr as well as Andrea Christ, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jeddah. The roundtable was moderated by our Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte, who provided a valuable update on the current economic landscape.
