Saxony Trade & Invest GmbH, in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry & Commerce for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen in Saudi Arabia, is organizing a market exploration trip providing insights into how to gain access to the market related to the country’s megaprojects under “Vision 2030”. Being the largest economy in the Arab World, investing into almost all economic sectors, Saudi Arabia accounts for the generation of 25% of the entire Arab GDP. Especially under its transformation program, „Vision 2030“, fundamentally aimed at hustling the diversification of the country’s economy, essential for making it independent from the oil sector, Saudi Arabia invests into a comprehensive range of economic sectors.

In particular, megaprojects such as Neom, The Line and Expo 2030 will further accelerate the country’s economic dynamics, thus constituting interesting opportunities to enter the market in the areas of construction and infrastructure, renewable energies and environmental technologies, as well as technology and digitalization in general. Due to the opening of the country under “Vision 2030”, including for foreign tourism, megaprojects designed to deal with the increasing demands in the hospitality industry, especially pose unprecedented chances for the supply industry to enter the Saudi market in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Aim of the Business Trip

The aims of this exploration trip exist in getting familiar with the Saudi business culture, as well as the exploration of market potentials, but also the development of market entry strategies. Personal meetings and room for exchange with senior experts and potential cooperation partners will grant you the chance to sound out your chances on the Saudi market, establish contacts, and gain valuable information on how the market can be entered in a sustainable manner.

• Tuesday, November 26^th: Appointment at the Ministry of Investment, exchange with representatives of Neom and Qiddiya, flight to Jeddah
• Wednesday, November 27^th: Appointment with real estate developer Roshn, as well as the developer of industrial complexes Modon
• Thursday, November 28^th: Round table at the Jeddah Chamber, Appointment at Juffali and Brothers, individual departure

The program is further developed on the basis of participants’ interests underlying previous consultations.

Costs:

Presumably 500 EUR plus value added tax for the first person and 450 EUR for the second person of each company. Not included: costs for the visa (around 300-400 EUR), transportation costs for inbound and outbound journey, board and loging, as well as other services not explicitly mentioned in the program.
