Yesterday, we received notice from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) regarding the implementation of the oxo-biodegradable plastic regulations in Saudi Arabia. As of right now, the currently implemented Phase 1 on single-use plastics will remain in place as is. Phases 2 and 3 (the implementation of which was scheduled for April 1st 2020) have been put on hold indefinitely. You can find the update (in Arabic) on the SASO Website.
