The German Saudi Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) celebrated the 1st GESALO Award Gala on November 6th in Riyadh.
The event honored outstanding company achievements and enduring partnership of the bilateral economic relationship. The respected leadership of 30 companies and institutions have been awarded in the categories: Innovation and Technology, Saudi German Business Partnership, Excellence in Customer Interaction, and Responsibility for the Future. GESALO Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte congratulated the winners in the presence of the German Ambassador, H.E. Michael Kindsgrab in a festive atmosphere.
The winners were honored in the following categories:
- Responsibility for the Future,
- Saudi German Business Partnership,
- Excellence in Customer Interaction,
- Innovation & Technology, and
- Above & Beyond.
After the award ceremony, guests had the opportunity to network, make new contacts and meet up with acquaintances. It was a pleasure for Delegation der Deutschen Wirtschaft für Saudi-Arabien, Bahrain und Jemen to host the
GESALO is a vital link between businesses in Germany and Saudi Arabia, promoting trade and investment. By facilitating dialogue and collaboration, GESALO played over the last 45 years a crucial role in strengthening bilateral economic relationship.
“We are thrilled to launch this Award Gala as a platform to celebrate the strong economic partnership between Germany and Saudi Arabia. German companies are participating in numerous megaprojects and infrastructure development contributing to the national objectives of the Vision 2030.”, says Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte, Delegate of the German Industry.
“We see a constant increase in the export numbers with a plus of 20% compared to last year. While German companies focused solely on exporting in the past, we are also seeing more German companies creating their value chain locally,” adds Dalia Samra-Rohte.
In addition to the awards, attendees had the opportunity to network with leaders from various industries, enhancing connections that could lead to fruitful collaborations and partnerships.
