AHK World Business Outlook Fall 2024
The AHK World Business Outlook is based on a regular DIHK survey of the member companies of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, delegations and representative offices (AHKs). In fall 2024, it collected feedback from 3,500 German companies, branches and subsidiaries worldwide as well as companies with close ties to Germany. The survey was conducted from 23 September to 16 October 2024.
39 per cent of the responding companies come from the industry and construction sector, 41 per cent from the service sector and a further 20 per cent are trading companies. Smaller companies with fewer than 100 employees account for 48 per cent of the responses. 25 per cent of the companies employ 100 to 1,000 employees. Large companies with more than 1,000 employees account for 27 per cent of respondents worldwide.

The survey was conducted from September 23 to October 16, 2024.
The region - Africa, Near and Middle East - has experienced one of the most positive developments regarding its economic position in recent years. 60% of companies expect that economic development will improve over the next 12 months. Compared to the World Business Outlook in Spring 2024, the number of companies that expect a positive economic outlook have doubled.
